Nancy  Adler
Dr. Adler is a foremost authority on cross-cultural management and women’s global leadership. She conducts research and consults on strategic international human resource management, global leadership, international negotiating, and culturally synergistic problem solving and global organization development.

Nancy Adler is a professor of organizational behaviour and cross-cultural management at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She received her bachelor’s degree in economics, a master’s degree and doctorate in management from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Adler authored numerous articles, produced the film A Portable Life, and published the books, International Dimensions of Organizational Behavior (4th edition, 2001), Women in Management Worldwide (1988), Competitive Frontiers: Women Managers in a Global Economy (1994).

Nancy received the McGill Faculty of Management Distinguished Teaching Award in 1986, a second McGill award for outstanding graduate teaching in 1990, and the 3M Teaching Fellowship as one of the outstanding professors in Canada in 1991. She also received the ASTD International Leadership Award, the SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research) Outstanding Senior Interculturalist Award, the Sage Award for Scholarly Contributions to Management, and was elected as a Fellow of both the Academy of Management and the Academy of International Business - the only professor in Canada to be honored by both academies.

Dr. Adler consults with leading corporations and government organizations on projects in Asia, Europe, North and South America and the Middle East. She taught executives in the People's Republic of China, at INSEAD, France, and at Bocconi University, Italy, and has held the Citicorp Visiting Doctoral Professorship at the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Adler is well known internationally as a keynote speaker.

Dr. Adler served on the Board of Governors for the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the Executive Committee of the International Personnel Association, the Canadian Social Science Advisory Committee to UNESCO, the Strategic Grants Committee of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Advisory Committee of the National Centre for Management Research and Development, and the Executive Committee of the Pacific Asian Consortium for International Business, Education and Research. She held leadership positions in the Academy of International Business, the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR), and the Academy of Management.
