Maya  Hu-Chan
Maya Hu-Chan is a leading expert in cross-cultural communication, global leadership and executive coaching. Since 1989, Hu-Chan coached over 3,000 leaders in Global 1000 companies to improve their leadership competency. She’s worked with leaders in 21 countries throughout North America, Asia, Europe, South America and Australia.

Hu-Chan received her bachelor’s degree in journalism and business management from National Chengchi University in Taiwan, and her master’s degree in communications from Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania.

Maya is co-author of the following books: Coaching for Leadership (2000), A Study in Excellence: Management in the Nonprofit Human Services and Global Business Skills.

Ms. Hu-Chan is the president of Asian Communication Professionals, Inc., (ACP) a cross-cultural consulting firm. She is also the publisher of the San Diego Asian Business Directory, a multicultural, multilingual business resource guide.

Prior to founding her companies, Maya anchored the China Broadcasting Company in Taiwan and was the executive director of the San Diego Chinese Center. She taught business courses at the University of California, San Diego, and was appointed by the mayor of San Diego to be a member of the Commission on the Status of Women.
