Ben Gomes-Casseres
Ben Gomes-Casseres is an authority on alliance strategy and management. He has researched this topic for 20 years, taught them to MBAs and executives, and consulted with major companies in the United States and abroad.

Ben is co-author of Mastering Alliance Strategy: A Comprehensive Guide to Design, Management, and Organization, a new book that presents state-of-the-art ideas and tools for alliance strategy. His earlier book The Alliance Revolution: The New Shape of Business Rivalry pioneered the concept of alliance “constellations.” His other articles on alliances, strategy, and international business have appeared in Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, Financial Times, and in various academic journals and books.

He consults, teaches, and speaks on alliance management to many organizations including: Abbott Labs, Eli Lilly, DuPont, Sun Microsystems, Motorola, DaimlerChrysler, Hewlett Packard, BellSouth, Shell Oil, Timken, Ashland Chemical, ChevronTexaco, NASA, Harris Nesbitt, The Conference Board, and other organizations in the U.S. and abroad.

His work on alliances is cited widely, including in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, CFO Europe, Associated Press, and in regional and industry periodicals.

Ben is a professor at Brandeis University’s International Business School (Waltham, Mass.). Previously, he was a professor at the Harvard Business School (1985-1995), and an Economist at the World Bank (1978-1981).

He holds degrees from Harvard, Princeton, and Brandeis. A Dutch national born and raised in Curaçao (Netherlands Antilles), he speaks four languages. His work is available at www.alliancestrategy.com.
