David Beatty is an experienced-hardened CEO level executive with expertise in strategy, economic development of developing nations and building the effectiveness of Boards of Directors. He is currently Professor of Strategic Management and Director of the Clarkson Center for Business Ethics at the Rotman Business School in Toronto. Prior to his academic career, David was CEO of one of North Americas largest baking companies leading 18,000 people organized in 7 companies. He also led firms in the oil and gas industry, hotels, and fast foods. He currently chairs a publicly traded copper company in Australia; serves on the Board of a UK based gold miner, as well as the Risk Review Committee of the Bank of Montreal.
