David Noer is an authority on the changing world of work. His focus is on helping both organizations and individuals cope with change and transition in healthy, productive and profitable ways. He received a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and a master’s degree in organizational development from Pepperdine University. He earned a doctorate in business administration with a concentration in organizational behavior and a supporting field of executive mental health from George Washington University. David is the author of several books, along with many academic and popular articles and book chapters. His work includes: Breaking Free: A Prescription for Personal and Organizational Change; Healing the Wounds: Overcoming the Trauma of Layoffs and Revitalizing Downsized Organizations; The Membership Organization: Achieving Top Performance Through the Workplace Community and How to Beat the Employment Game. Dr. Noer was featured in numerous print and electronic media such as Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, the BBC, the CBC, and NBC. David Noer's work bridges the academic, commercial and consulting worlds. He served as president and CEO of a large division of Control Data Corporation, a faculty member at Duke University, and senior vice president of training and education for the Center for Creative Leadership. Noer focuses on executive coaching; keynote speaking; team development; dealing with the human aspects of mergers, acquisitions and downsizing; mission, vision, and value development; and strategic planning.
